In unofficial election results from the Stanly County Board of Elections, Richard Kimmer, Bob Loflin Jr. and Bill Peak were selected by New London voters for the town board.
Kimmer received 255 votes (33.20%), with Loflin Jr. receiving 247 (32.16%) and Peak 242 (31.51%).
There were 24 write-in votes, 3.13%.
