The annual Stanly County 4-H Holiday Greenery Sale fundraiser is now underway. All proceeds from the greenery sale stay in Stanly County and are used to help send kids to summer camp.
This year’s sale includes fresh fraser fir wreaths, both door-sized (22-inch) and window-sized (10-inch to 12-inch), a variety of handmade bows to add to your wreath as well as hand-painted Santa ornaments. Available for the first time in the history of the annual greenery sale, Santa ornaments are made from locally-grown, dried okra pods.
Prices for the sale are as follows:
• 10-12-inch Window Wreaths – $18.
• 22-inch Door Wreaths – $25.
• Santa Dried Okra Ornaments – $7.
• Bows – $12.
Orders can be placed at, or mailed to, the Stanly County Cooperative Extension Office, located inside the Stanly Agri-Civic Center at 26032-E. Newt Road, Albemarle, NC 28001. Payment is preferred at the time of order, and can be made using cash or check made payable to Stanly County 4-H.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the trees typically available in the annual greenery sale will not be available this year, but Stanly 4-H does expect to have trees available again in 2025.
Orders can be picked up at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center on Dec. 3 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
