The City of Albemarle is accepting nominations for the role of grand marshal of the Albemarle Christmas Parade happening at 4 p.m. Dec. 14.
Members of the community may nominate an individual, organization or family by Nov. 13. The rules for the nomination process are as follows:
• Nominee shall reside in the City of Albemarle.
• Nominee must be in good standing in the community.
• Nominee should be person, organization or family that has displayed outstanding service, support and commitment to the community, county, state and/or country.
Nominations may be submitted online by visiting www.albemarlenc.gov/paradegrandmarshal.
Nominations may also be submitted by completing a form available at the following locations: Customer Service area at Albemarle City Hall, Niven Community Center and E.E. Waddell Community Center.
