Streets closed Saturday for Oktoberfest

Young Country Customs and Badin Brews have scheduled Oktoberfest for noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at 124 S. 1st St. in downtown Albemarle.
More than 70 vendors are planned, with jewelry, face painting, music, beer tents, food trucks and more.

Portions of downtown will be closed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the Oktoberfest.
Street closures approved by Albemarle City Council and NCDOT include:

First Street from North to South Streets

Main Street from Depot to Second Streets

City-owned parking lot next to Badin Brews
The festival organizers will need the parking lot next to Badin Brews along with on-street parking on First Street cleared on Saturday morning to enable them to set up street vendors and entertainment for the festival, according to a city official. Streets and parking lot should reopen no later than 9 p.m.
