North Carolina is lucky. We have strong leaders in government who stand up for what is right. There is perhaps no more noble cause than protecting health care for vulnerable populations, including North Carolina’s seniors.
Sen. Thom Tillis has been a strong advocate in Congress for seniors’ health; now, we need him to continue that effort by preventing any further changes to Medicare Advantage that could hurt seniors.
Over 900,000 North Carolinians are currently enrolled in Medicare Advantage. It is a popular and growing choice for health care among seniors, including many living on fixed incomes. That’s because Medicare Advantage provides everything rolled up into one low-cost plan, including benefits like vision and dental. For seniors like me, the simplicity of having all my needs under one umbrella is incredibly valuable.
And Medicare Advantage is affordable. Compared to some of the alternatives, seniors are saving hundreds of dollars a month, sometimes even more. Unfortunately, we may see that savings disappear. Recent cuts to Medicare Advantage could result in higher premiums or fewer benefits for your money.
Sen. Tillis has been a champion for seniors. We hope he’ll keep fighting for Medicare Advantage in Washington. Our health is on the line.
