The City of Albemarle’s Public Housing Department has opened its public housing waiting list for Amhurst Gardens, a multi-family housing community. The waiting lists opening is only for the two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. Individuals who previously applied only need to reapply if they were deemed ineligible. If an applicant was not deemed ineligible since the last submission of the application, the applicant does not need to reapply. Please note: to qualify for the two-bedroom and three-bedroom units, your household must have 2-6 people.
Applications can be found online at www.albemarlenc.gov/publichousingapplication or in-person at the housing office at 300 S. Bell Ave., Albemarle.
The Public Housing wait list will remain open until 5 p.m. Oct. 8. All applications are due at that time.
