Dr. Belinda Ferguson, DNP, Bella Medical Associates PLLC, Albemarle, was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council.
NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a nonpartisan basis.
Ferguson joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
“As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” Ferguson said. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”
Ferguson has more than two decades of experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner.
“I specialize in wellness through a holistic, functional coaching and consulting approach. I am dedicated to uncovering and addressing the root causes of disease, illness, stress, overwhelm, burnout and workplace disengagement,” Ferguson said. “I strive to ensure that every patient I see receives the best possible care, and I believe that my dedication and compassion are integral to my practice.
“My approach aims to enhance performance and wellness amid competing priorities and evolving organizational demands using burnout strategies and self-leadership mindset development. Passionate about patient education, I empower individuals to make proactive, informed decisions about their well-being. My ongoing goal is to maintain a strong track record in healthcare innovation and make impactful changes in individuals’ lives, as well as in the healthcare and business sectors.”
Ferguson joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of her efforts to tackle the many issues facing small businesses, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs and how access to capital will impact small business.
The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
