Stanly News & Press wins awards for design, Stanly magazine

The Stanly News & Press has won two awards in the latest North Carolina Press Association editorial contest.
The SNAP staff won first place in the best magazine category for the Holiday 2023 issue of Stanly The Magazine.
The magazine includes features on the Stanly County Chorale celebrating its 55th anniversary, the Dalton family and its Christmas traditions, favorite recipes and popular activities.
General manager and editor B.J. Drye won first place for a photography page design titled “More Than A Maze.” It featured photos taken at the Thomas Family Corn Maze by Seth Mabry.
These awards and others will be presented at the North Carolina Press Association’s Annual Convention Sept. 19 in Raleigh.
