Inaugural Stanly football jamboree set to kick off Tuesday

With Tropical Storm Debby postponing Friday’s inaugural Stanly County Football Jamboree, the schedule and participants have changed for the event now scheduled for tonight (Tuesday) starting at 6 p.m.

The four county schools will compete, with Forest Hills and East Rowan also participating. Teams will now get 12 minutes for offense and 12 on defense. Teams will play simultaneously with one game heading towards the scoreboard at R.N. Jeffery Stadium, the other towards the Comets’ fieldhouse.

Tuesday’s schedule will now be:

6 p.m. – Albemarle vs. Forest Hills (scoreboard); North Stanly vs. East Rowan (fieldhouse).

6:30 p.m. – West Stanly vs. South Stanly (scoreboard); North Stanly vs. Forest Hills (fieldhouse).

7 p.m. – South Stanly vs. East Rowan (scoreboard); Albemarle vs. West Stanly (fieldhouse).

7:30 p.m. – Forest Hills vs. South Stanly (scoreboard); North Stanly vs. West Stanly (fieldhouse).

8 p.m. – East Rowan vs. Albemarle.
