The National Weather Service warns that flash flooding is possible in Stanly and other counties from Wednesday morning to Friday evening due to rainfall from Tropical Cyclone Debby.
Rainfall amounts ranging from 6 to 12 inches are possible across the Piedmont by Friday night, with locally higher amounts possible, the Weather Service advised.
