An upcoming event in Oakboro will provide local students with school supplies, food and fun.

The PoppBelly SoulFood Back To School Festival has been scheduled for July 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oakboro Fairgrounds.

School supplies such as backpacks, pencils, composition books and more will be available for students ages kindergarten through 12th grade.

Local food truck Poppbelly Soulfood will provide food for the event, and children’s activities will include face painting, bouncy houses, water slides and more.
