Hard to believe children will soon be returning to school. There are a couple of back to school events already scheduled.
Brothers 4 Life will host its “Back to School Supply Giveaway” on July 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin. Children must be present to receive supplies.

The E.E.Waddell Center presents “Ready, Set, Go All the Way Back to School Bash” on July 25 from 5:30-7 p.m. There will be special treats, free school supplies and free food. You are welcomed to donate supplies.
Membership of the NAACP-Stanly County, meets every second Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the front room of the E.E.Waddell Center.

Church News
Sanctuary Christian Outreach Ministry/Youth presents “Youth Night” July 12 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Brother Derek Hill of New Direction Life Ministry. Bishop Gwendolyn Holland is the host pastor.
The Room is the place to be for “Ladies Edition” on July 19. Apostle Felicia Barringer will be the speaker. Prayer will be at 7 p.m. and service will start at 7:30. The host is Pastor Tamara Horne.
Parkers Grove will celebrate the 18th pastoral anniversary of Pastor Althea Harris on July 21 at 3 p.m.
New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will host its revival July 24-26 at 7 p.m. The theme is “The Power of a Queen.” Wednesday’s speaker will be Pastor Anita Owens-Scott. Thursday’s speaker will be Pastor Tamara Horne. Friday’s speaker will be Apostle Dr. Felicia Barringer. The host pastor is Bishop Ronald Carpenter.
Outside the 4 Walls
Evangelist Vanessa Chambers hosts “Bible Study in the Park” on July 10 at noon at New London Park, 220 N. Main St. Bring your Bibles, lawn chairs, bag lunch and water. All ladies are welcome.
Save the Date
First Baptist Church, Badin will host a Grief Share support group on Tuesdays Aug. 13- Nov. 5. More information will be shared later.
