Two students receive Betty Watson scholarships

The Stanly County Extension and Community Association (SCECA) announces that Eli Toole and Savannah Faircloth are the winners of the 2024 Betty Watson scholarships.
Eli Toole
Toole, son of Chris and Lindsey Toole of Stanfield, a recipient of a 2023 Watson scholarship, was awarded $1,000.
He attends Wingate University and has been active in both his school and community at Wingate and his church community in Albemarle. He is majoring in exercise science, with plans to become a physical therapist.
Savannah Faircloth
Faircloth, daughter of Jonathan and Anna Faircloth of Albemarle, also received a $1,000 scholarship. She will graduate from Stanly Early College High School this spring with a two-year degree.
She plans to attend either Pfeiffer University or Wingate University in the fall to pursue a major in health and exercise science. She has a goal of becoming an occupational therapist.
