Sheriff’s Office: Greensboro man arrested with over 170 grams of fentanyl

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Creek Road in Albemarle April 14.
Upon a search of the vehicle, more than 170 grams of fentanyl was found, along with a handgun and marijuana.
Elijohua Trevon Mason of Greensboro, the driver, was charged with Level III trafficking by possession of opiates, Level III trafficking by transportation of opiates, possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver Schedule II, possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining vehicle for the sale of controlled substances.
Mason is in custody at the Stanly County Jail under a $1.5 million secured bond.
