The City of Albemarle is conducting an online and paper survey to gather community input on what is important to residents for the growth and shaping of our city.
This is to update leaders in the community and help prepare them for decisions on the community’s future. This survey is designed to guide priorities, gain perspective from residents on their vision for the city’s future and receive feedback on current city services.
“Our city has made significant progress since our last community survey in 2020. The feedback we received helped build the City’s Strategic Plan leading to numerous positive projects in Albemarle. For example, residents told us they wanted careers, not just jobs. We responded by making the Albemarle Business Center, currently under construction, a priority,” Albemarle City Manager Michael Ferris said. “We’ve budgeted more money for street preservation and maintenance. We’ve committed to upgrading infrastructure for electric, water, and sewer. And we’ve added staff and equipment to our police and fire departments. Once again, we ask that everyone please provide their input by completing the survey so decisions about our city can be made with the best information possible.”
The survey is open to all Albemarle stakeholders, whether you live, work or play in Albemarle. The survey will close on Jan. 15, 2024. Residents who complete the survey will be eligible for a chance to win a $100 gift card. Four names will be randomly selected to win.
The city is providing several options to complete the survey:
