Stanly County Schools announces more administrative changes

Stanly County Schools on Friday morning announced more administrative changes through its Facebook page.
• Kelly Simmons has been named principal at Stanly Early College High School.
Simmons began as a teacher in 2005 with SCS. She most recently served as assistant principal for three years at SSHS.
• Brian Bradshaw has been named assistant principal at Albemarle High School.
Bradshaw served SCS as a teacher and a coach at AHS before moving into administration. Most recently he was an assistant principal at West Stanly High School.
• Sean Whitley has been promoted to dean of students and athletic director at South Stanly High School.
Whitley has been a staple in the southern community since 2002 as a teacher, coach and athletic director.
• Karen Nixon has been named principal of SCoVE and Stanly Academy Learning Center.
Nixon began with SCS in 2007 and has served in many roles throughout the district.
• David Allois has been named assistant principal of West Stanly High School.
Allois began his career in 2002. Most recently he served as the dean of students in the northern district.
• Meredith Sawyer has been selected as assistant principal at South Stanly High School.
Sawyer has been serving SSHS as the media specialist/ITS coordinator for several years.
These changes come after others announced in June.
These included: Mandy Efird as assistant principal at West Stanly Middle School; Brittany Mathews as assistant principal for Central Elementary School; Kate Blazer as principal at Norwood Elementary School; Beverly Pennington as principal at Albemarle High School; Lauren Raper as director of secondary education; and Dr. Sandra Carter as assistant superintendent of human resources.
