Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Believe it or not, It is summer. You probably haven’t been able to take part in many summer activities yet because of the deluge of rain that we have experienced.

Johnnie Harris writes the Harristown News.

Hopefully, that weather pattern is over and cookouts, fun in the park, family reunions and many other activities can begin.
Whatever activity you’re taking part in, please be safe.

Community News

The community VBS, held at Shiloh Baptist Church, was a resounding success. Thanks go out to Brandlyn Bennett and all her volunteers who stepped up and helped make this a VBS to remember.

Sheila Kirk Baptisa, formerly of this community, is bringing her production “Sounds of A&R” to our area.

The free jazz concert will take place at Albemarle Neighborhood Theatre, 219 East North Street, on June 29, at 7 p.m.

The much anticipated event is presented by the E. E. Waddell Center. Remember that it’s free. All are welcome to attend.
