STATE: Governor offers reward for info on Gaston County murder

Gov. Roy Cooper announced that the state is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Gavin Alexander Plyler, 24.
On May 5, 2020, at approximately 9:16 p.m., law enforcement officers responded to a shooting at a home on East Park Avenue, Gastonia. Officers located Plyler on the couch suffering from a gunshot wound. Plyler later died from his injuries.
