Stanly Community College instructor receives NCSTA Service Award

Michael Lowder, department head of life and physical sciences at Stanly Community College, has received a 2022 North Carolina Science Teachers Association Award.
Lowder was presented the 2022 NCSTA Don Bailey College/University Distinguished Service Award at the 53rd NCSTA Professional Development Institute.
Michael Lowder accepts the Dr. Don Bailey College/University Distinguished Service Award at an NCSTA awards ceremony in Winston-Salem.
This award is given to a person exhibiting leadership in science education; contributing to improvements in science education; and excelling in the aspects of science education.
This honor was determined as a result of Lowder’s contributions to science education in North Carolina.
