Dinner on Main organizer Dr. Connie Eckman announces tickets are now available for this year’s event.

The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce will benefit from this year’s fundraiser, with hopes of a continued partnership in the future. Past event beneficiaries include the Albemarle Downtown Development, Stanly County Historical Society, Butterfly House Child Advocacy Center, United Way of Stanly County and the Friends of the Agri-Civic Center.

Plan to enjoy a farm-to-table outdoor dining experience in Downtown Albemarle on Sept. 17. Tickets are $75 each and include appetizers, salads, at least two local meats and dessert, with locally sourced ingredients. Beer and wine are also included with the ticket.

Dinner on Main begins with appetizers at 6:30 p.m. Plans are in place in the event of rain, so the dinner will go on.

Last year, Off the Square was the downtown Albemarle restaurant catering the event. While Off the Square will continue its involvement, this year other Chamber members will take part and exhibit what their eatery has to offer the community. Other local eateries that have committed to participate include Glory Beans, Albemarle Sweet Shop and Second Street Sundries. There are hopes to announce others in the coming weeks.
