Stanly Community College and Montreat College have signed an articulation agreement that will offer criminal justice graduates from SCC the opportunity to transfer to Montreat College with junior status and receive tuition discounts.
SCC’s criminal justice graduates will receive a 50 percent discount on the first term and a 10 percent discount for the remainder of the Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Montreat College’s School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS).
“We are excited to be partnering with Stanly Community College in serving the needs of students who are choosing to advance in their education with scholarship opportunities and transfer-friendly articulation to Montreat College,” said Dr. David Poole, vice president of Montreat College AGS. “We look forward to working closely with the faculty, staff, and administration at SCC to develop a highly educated workforce to meet the needs of our communities.”
SCC President Dr. John Enamait, president, noted: “The newest articulation agreement available to Stanly Community College students is exciting in a number of ways. First, the agreement forges a new pathway for our graduates to continue their education beyond SCC. Second, the agreement demonstrates that the faculty and staff at SCC continue to work hard on behalf of our students to ensure they have the needed support and opportunities to reach their goals; and third, the agreement has already led to discussion regarding how our institutions may collaborate in other ways. I would like to thank the faculty and staff at SCC who worked tirelessly to finalize the articulation agreement.”
