BADIN/PALESTINE NEWS: Many activities coming up
Come to the library today for Adult Craft time from 10:30-11:30 a.m. A small fee is charged for supplies. Everyone is welcome.
Saturday hot dog sales will continue through the summer. Pastor Beau Linker and the congregation invites the community to 18 Hickory St. from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for a tasty snack or lunch.
Stony Hill UMC
Vacation Bible school for ages 3 and up will take place July 25-27 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church, 28996 Stony Hill Road. Dinner will be served each evening.
The church is collecting school supplies in July and August for Badin Elementary. Everything from backpacks to pencils are needed. Check the church’s Facebook page for a complete list of items.
Pastor Anthony Neal invites everyone to the reopening of in-person Sunday services July 25 at 11 a.m., 201 Wayne St. Homecoming services are planned for Aug. 1 at 11 a.m.
The community is invited to Sunday school at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by 11 a.m. worship. The church is at 36414 Palestine Road, Albemarle. The following activities are open to all.
Love Thy Neighbor will meet July 21 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Vacation Bible school will be Aug. 2-6 beginning at 5:30 each evening. Dinner will be served nightly.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry group meets each Monday at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring yarn, knitting needles or crochet hooks and the names of anyone who would be blessed by a prayer shawl. Joyce Hatley is the contact for this group.
The next regular meeting of Better Badin, Inc. is Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Loafers and Legends. Plans are underway for more Movies on the Green and the Badin Concert Series.
Town Council meets Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Badin Conference Center. Visitors are welcome.
Limb and Brush pickup is Aug. 3. Please have limbs at the curb before 8 a.m.
