Black Arts Alliance presents North Carolina Black Film Festival

The Black Arts Alliance, Inc. (BAA) presents the 17th Annual North Carolina Black Film Festival (NCBFF), Feb. 25-28 in Wilmington.

The four-day juried and invitational festival of independent motion pictures by African American filmmakers will showcase features, shorts and documentaries, but this year using a virtual platform through Film Festival Plus. Selected films will screen 24 hours a day beginning at 12 a.m. Thursday and will run through 11:59 p.m. Feb. 28. The Film Festival Plus platform allows you to watch the films you want at your convenience, from your phone, tablet, computer or TV.

In place of the annual CineMixer opening night reception, the festival will host a small awards ceremony on Thursday at 7 p.m. announcing the winners live from Film Festival Plus. Prizes of $500 will be awarded to the first-place winner in each category.
