Student receives doctorate degree

Miranda Lea Patterson received a doctorate degree in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida on Dec. 18, 2020.
She is the daughter of Tracy Brewer Patterson and Dean Hunter Patterson, both of Albemarle, and the granddaughter of Billy and Elaine Brewer Brewer of Albemarle and the late Norman and Barbara Patterson.
She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from UNC Wilmington in December 2015, and minored in psychology.
Her love for animals has her pursuing her certification for animal chiropractic through Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Wellsville, Kansas.
She plans on staying in Florida and working with Quest Chiropractic in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, with whom she did her preceptorship, and eventually open her own practice.
