Stanly commissioners approve loan refinancing

The Stanly County Board of Commissioner conducted a required public hearing at Tuesday night’s meeting at the Stanly County Commons regarding refinancing of some of the county’s outstanding loans.
County manager Andy Lucas made the presentation to the board in person saying the refinancing of the debt will save the county approximately $731,000 over the next 15 years of the term of the loan.
No one spoke at the hearing, and the board unanimously passed a resolution to approve the refinancing.
