The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Albemarle Rotary Club, will host a Reverse Raffle fundraiser tonight from Market Station in downtown Albemarle.

In addition to the Grand Prize of $3,000, second prize $1,000 and third prize of $500, gift certificates from local restaurants and wine from local vineyards will be given away.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. To watch the virtual event, go to the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page @StanlyCountyChamber.

All winners will be notified by phone within 24 hours of the event. A post listing all winners will be added to Facebook once the event is finished. Cash prizes, gift certificates and wine will be available to be picked up at the Chamber office starting Monday. Winners will be asked to contact the chamber at 704-982-8116 or sandy@stanlychamber.org to set up a pick-up time.

A silent auction had also been planned as part of the evening’s events. The packages that have been provided as auction items will be available for viewing on the Chamber’s Facebook page. These items will be showcased the week leading up to the event, with bidding continuing until the Nov. 13. Anyone is allowed to bid on these great items (not exclusive to ticket holders).

Package themes include Grill Night (includes a Blackstone Griddle Top Grill); Health & Fitness (includes running shoes, YMCA membership, healthy goodies and weight loss program); Outdoorsman Package (includes rental of everything you need for a weekend campout at Norwood Campground and passes to Carolina Treetop Challenge); Lady of Luxury (includes jewelry item courtesy of Starnes Jewelers, 2-hour cleaning with Hudson Cleaning Services, Spa Treatment basket, Lounge-about goodies); Bed & Breakfast Package (Stay for 4 at The 1891 Inn, Comforter set, Sutera Pillow, Coffee & Breakfast Goodies, Coffee Maker); Golf Day Away (Round of Golf at Piney Point Golf Course, 2 Columbia Windbreakers, 2 Toad Fish can coolers, Corner Supermarket Gift certificate); Spring Sunset & Sushi Dinner Cruise; Warm & Welcoming Package (includes an Adirondack Chair) and Natural Tumbled Stone Fire Pit Kit. Full details, descriptions and photos of all Silent Auction items will be posted to the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Bidding will end Friday.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Albemarle Rotary Club’s support of the Stanly County YMCA Pavilion renovation project for a new kitchen and the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing programs, initiatives and member support and education.
