Suzanne W. Lowder won her uncontested race Tuesday night to receive another term as Stanly County Register of Deeds.
Lowder received 27,459 votes, with 5,457 of those coming on Election Day. Absentee one-stop early voting accounted for 19,678 of her votes, while 2,324 voted by mail.
“I’d just like to say that even though I ran unopposed, I am truly grateful for and humbled that the citizens of Stanly County chose to place their trust in me and support me for another four years,” Lowder said. “I pledge to continue to protect your most precious and important documents. If this office can ever be of assistance to you please do not hesitate to contact me.”
Lowder was hired as assistant register of deeds in 1992 and was elected Register of Deeds in 2008.
