Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced three wins for North Carolinians, including prizes of $50,000 in Durham County, $150,000 in Buncombe County and $1 million in Beaufort County.
The lucky winner of the $1 million prize bought the ticket at Ginn’s Seafood and Quickstop on Carolina Avenue in Washington. The $2 ticket matched the numbers on the five white balls, 1-3-13-44-56, beating odds of 1 in 11.6 million.
The $1 million win here in North Carolina was the largest Powerball prize won nationally in the drawing.
Two other Powerball tickets matched the numbers on four white balls and the Powerball, beating odds of 1 in 913,000.
One $3 Power Play ticket had its $50,000 prize tripled when the 3x multiplier was drawn and is worth $150,000. It was sold at the Enmark Station on Hendersonville Road in Arden.
The other winning ticket, a $2 ticket valued at $50,000, was sold at the Joyland Family Fare on Holloway Street in Durham.
Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
No one won Wednesday’s jackpot. The jackpot climbs to $102 million as an annuity prize or $80.7 million cash for Saturday’s drawing.
