Editor’s Note: As the SNAP turns 140 this year, let’s celebrate the past with some of our favorite recipes of our grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles. Email bj.drye@ stanlynewspress.com with recipes and a small story about the famous cooks that go with the recipe. Pictures can be included of the cook.

Yogurt Parfait

1 Peach or ½-1 cup fresh fruit
1 container, non-fat Greek yogurt – I used peach, but plain can be used and has a lot less sugar. You can sweeten with a drizzle of honey
¼ Cup granola

Place fruit on the bottom of to-go container or bowl.

Spoon yogurt on top of fruit.

Top with granola. This should be done within an hour of consuming. You can prepare fruit and yogurt the night before and top with granola last minute.
