The following is from Helen Nance, chief administrative officer for Gray Stone Day School. Classes begin Thursday and Friday.

Dear Gray Stone Students,

Welcome back to a new school year. . . a year that will begin like no year has before.  We are in the middle of a historic time when we are given an opportunity to rise above and show flexibility and adaptability without sacrificing our high expectations.

We have spent the last two months preparing for this change. Teachers and staff have spent countless hours studying new technology and uncovering strategies to deliver a rigorous curriculum online.

We are energized and ready for another year of achievement — even though we will come together virtually. Seniors, you’ve made it! We will continue to develop ways to celebrate your successes regardless of the limitations of the pandemic.

Gray Stone has always been a unique educational environment that is constantly evolving to deliver a topnotch experience.

We know we have challenges ahead, but we are ready — as we always have been.

Do not hesitate to reach out and tell your teachers what you need. We are all in this together!
