Locust Police offers tribute to chief

Locust Police Department and the City of Locust have decorated the patrol car of Police Chief Steven R. Smith.
Smith, who became police chief last December, died Tuesday evening. He was 44. A cause of death has not been announced.
The department said residents can use his car as a way to pay their respects to the chief and his family.
Service arrangements are being finalized and will be announced when available.
