Heavy rainfall in the Yadkin River Basin prompted Duke Energy to postpone the scheduled May 30 recreation flow release into the Pee Dee River below the Tillery Hydro Plant. The new release date is June 27.

Additional scheduled release dates are June 20, July 4, 11, 25, Aug. 8 and 22, and Sept. 5, 12. The releases will begin at 6:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m.

The target rate of all flow releases will range from 800 to 1,000 cubic feet per second, which is suitable for beginner and intermediate boaters and paddlers.
