The Albemarle Police Department has received numerous reports of counterfeit money being passed at local businesses. The counterfeit money has “For Motion Picture Use Purposes” written on it in several places on the front and back. This is not legal currency.
Police indicate on this bill where counterfeit markings are. Bills have been circulating in Albemarle.
