The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce continues to work on behalf of the county’s pursuit of economic prosperity.

We have been and continue to answer questions, provide information, make referrals and advocate for our community. We are available by phone, email or our website during this challenging time.

First, let’s extend our gratitude for those who have been working bravely and tirelessly during the coronavirus pandemic. We are all grateful for the frontline and essential workers, such as nurses, doctors, truck drivers, grocery workers and first responders.

We are thankful for the restaurant workers for ensuring takeout meals and their loyal customers who are keeping local eateries going.

Stanly County Schools has made sure school-age children are getting fed. We’ve witnessed and read about all the businesses and residents who stepped up to feed the students during Spring

Break. Kudos to all for their efforts.

Many local businesses and volunteers have donated supplies, snacks and baked goods to local nursing homes. Our nursing home staff have created fun and safe activities for their residents during this stay at home period.

So many more stories of good deeds during this time. We’ve seen an outpouring of kindness and support in this county and it is easy to say “we are proud of Stanly County!” Let’s keep the faith and stay strong.

Recently, the Chamber was asked to promote and share information about several informational webinars and also a town hall hosted by U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC). We hosted a Virtual Town Hall on April 7 with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to provide information for small businesses.

During April, we provided additional information and training. We offered free weekly webinar training. We hosted marketing strategist and small business owner Lisa Perry, of Perry Productions, every Wednesday for a deep dive into digital marketing. Each week marked a new category and helped businesses with platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook marketing along with email and content marketing strategies.

We’ve had great feedback from the seminars and will look at planning additional opportunities in the future. We have one final session with Perry Productions scheduled for May 6 on Instagram Marketing. You can register on the Chamber’s website, under Chamber events.
