Albemarle Police Department issued a public state Friday afternoon in search of a suspect in a recent homicide.
Detectives with the APD issued warrants for the arrest of Donte Jamal Langhorne-Hagins, 25, of Hampton, Virginia, for first-degree murder and felony conspiracy.
Langhorne-Hagins is considered armed and dangerous.
The warrants stem from a Feb. 8 incident when APD officers found 33-year old Tristan Edward Crump of Albemarle lying in the yard of a residence at 1004 Henry Jay Street. Crump later passed away at Atrium Health Stanly from his injuries.
Investigation of the incident continues. Those with information are asked to call APD directly at 704-984-950 or leave an anonymous tip at 704-984-9511.
