The Stanly Community College Foundation has announced the establishment of the Creative Counseling Human Services Scholarship.
This scholarship will cover tuition, fees and books up to $2,000 for any full-time students enrolled in the Human Services Technology programs at SCC. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in the apprenticeship program with Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions.
“We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to Stanly Community College students,” said Laura Harbeson, PhD, MS, LCMHCS, NCC and director/lead therapist at Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions (CCLS). “It is our wish that students are able to use this scholarship as a stepping stone toward successful careers in the Human Services field.”
Creative Counseling Human Services Scholarship will be available for students beginning Fall 2020 semester. The scholarship application can be found at www.stanly.edu. The application will close April 15 for the Fall 2020 semester. Moving forward, the scholarship will be available each fall and spring semester.
“On behalf of the SCC Foundation, I would like to thank Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions for their support and generosity,” Jeania Martin, executive director, SCC Foundation, said. “The Foundation is committed to helping students achieve their educational goals and with the addition of this scholarship the lives of many students will be changed for the better.”
