A 19-year-old man was found shot near Stoker Terrace shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.

While en route to the call, Albemarle police officers were advised of a male shot on the scene. Tyshun Polk was found with a gun-shot wound to his back.

Polk was transported to Northeast Medical Center.

During the investigation, officers found two residences damaged by this incident. A 2009 Volkswagen Jetta was also damaged.

Albemarle police detectives are following up on leads in the case and have found persons of interest. However, they have been unsuccessful in finding any cooperating witnesses to the crime.
