Three people arrested on drug charges after bust in Oakboro

Police have cited three people with drug related charges after a search was conducted in Oakboro on Thursday.
The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant to search the home at 14354 Nichols Dr. around 6 a.m. At the property, they seized 39.4 grams of methamphetamine, $7,730, five rifles, two shotguns, two handguns and a large amount of prescription medication. Police said the approximate street value of the drugs is $5,000.
Jeffery Edward Furr, 53, and Barbara Sloop Furr, 60, were charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for the sales of controlled substances, felony possession of altered firearm and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were given a $150,000 secured bond.
Toni Lynette Love, 40, was also charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for the sales of controlled substances, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV, possession of marijuana up to a half ounce and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Love was given a $10,000 bond, and was later released.
