Mathers Realty has had offices in South Charlotte and Matthews area for more than 36 years.

Now it has opened a branch office in Stanly County.

With Uwharrie Bank’s decision to move to a different location in Oakboro, Mathers took the opportunity to purchase its building at 624 N. Main St., Oakboro.

Mathers is one of the largest real estate companies in the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association with more than 100 agents serving the communities surrounding the Charlotte area in both North and South Carolina.

Wallace Crawford, an Oakboro resident, will be the manager and broker in charge at the new location. He and his extended family have been residents of Stanly County for more than 15 years.

Crawford has been one of the top listing agents for Mathers Realty as well as a sales manager in the Mint Hill location for many years.

Crawford is excited about the challenge and opportunities of running a branch office, as the broker in charge.

Along with Crawford, Tommy Ross Jr., Jonathan Hawkins, Willie and Dottie Tolson and Alan Hinson are the agents who will be moving from the Matthews office to the Oakboro location.
