Dinner on Main’s location has changed to the Square, where tables will be lined across Second and Main streets.

Tickets are $60 each and include appetizers, salads, at least two local meats and dessert, with locally sourced ingredients prepared by Tiffany’s at the Boardroom.

Beer and wine are also included with the ticket.

“I’ve always spearheaded it and have had help along the way,” Eckman said.

The Stanly County Historical Society benefits from this year’s fundraiser, with past recipients being the Butterfly House Child Advocacy Center, United Way of Stanly County and the Friends of the Agri-Civic Center.

“It’s increased each year as we’re trying to acquire more sponsorship for the event so the beneficiaries can benefit,” Eckman said.

“Our community benefits from this event by showcasing our beautiful downtown Albemarle,” she added. “It gives people something different and fun to do on a summer evening, close to home. It shows patrons what local farms have to offer and the benefits and taste of a farm-fresh meal.”

Eckman said other counties have asked about the event, wanting to create one of their own.

“Everyone who has attended the event or learned about it has been impressed with the evening,” she said.
