Joel Dale Hatley, 68, of Locust, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Hatley was born Feb. 4, 1951 in Cabarrus County. He is the son of Ruby Burris Hatley and the late Grover Hatley.
He was a retired barber and HVAC technician for Cabarrus County. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with different things, fishing, raising and showing his boxers.
In addition to his mother, Ruby B. Hatley, he is survived by his wife, Hilda Linker Hatley; daughter, April H. Kennedy; stepdaughter, Amanda C. Hartman; sister, Karen Simpson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
