Eris M. Hinson, 94, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Carolinas Healthcare System Northeast in Concord.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Fairview Memorial Park with Rev. Jacob Waldrip officiating. The family will greet friends in the cemetery following the service.
Born November 30, 1924 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. Crisco and Clita Russell Crisco.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Albemarle and worked as a seamstress for Dun Rite Laundry in Albemarle.
She loved to quilt and over her lifetime she hand made and gifted many quilts to family and friends.
She loved her cats and hummingbirds and always kept her hummingbird feeders filled.
Her father was Sheriff of Stanly County from 1930 to 1936 and along with her family lived in the Stanly County Jail during that time. Throughout her whole life she felt close ties to the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office.
Mrs. Hinson is survived by sons Arlie Jerry Myers (Jane) of Albemarle, Richard Kent Myers (Anne) of Richfield, sisters Geraldine Causby of Albemarle, Vanonda Hamby of Salisbury and brother Franklin Crisco of Albemarle, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, a son Steve Crisco, and two husbands, Arlie W. Myers and Joe T. Hinson.
