Charles Barrette Almond, Jr., 75, joined his parents in Heaven at 2:30 p.m. on February 20, 2019 at University of Alabama in Birmingham Palliative Care.
Charlie was born on July 9, 1943, his father’s birth date, in Albemarle, NC.
He was preceded by his father, Barrette Almond, and mother, Thelma Blalock Almond.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Bowers Almond, and by his brother, Jennings B. Almond.
A memorial will be held on March 3, 2019 at 1st Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama at 2 p.m.
