Tina Lee McLester, 88, of Stanfield, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.
Tina was born June 22, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Webster Jonas and Vashti Florence Huneycutt Lee.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Aubrey McLester; and eight brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 4:45pm, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Indian Hill Presbyterian Church, 8349 NC Hwy. 200, Stanfield. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Rick Brundin, Rev. Gene Hopkins. Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.
Tina was a charter member of Indian Hill Presbyterian Church where she played the organ and piano for over 50 years. She loved to read and crochet, and enjoyed writing for the Stanfield News and the Stanly News and Press.
She is survived by son, Roger Alan McLester; daughter, Susan Adele Morgan; son, Joe Sherrill McLester and wife Carrie; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
