Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2018) – The Pfeiffer University women’s basketball team has been tabbed as the preseason favorite in the USA South East Division as the USA South announced their 2018-19 preseason poll.
The Falcons finished their first season in 2017-18 while reclassifying from Division II to Division III with a 20-5 overall record but were not eligible for USA South or NCAA post-season play due to their provisional Division III status. The Falcons did earn a bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournament and fell in the first round to St. Vincent, 73-50.
Pfeiffer received 60 total points in the preseason poll and grabbed five first place votes.
The Falcons will tipoff the 2018-19 on Nov. 10 when they travel to Randolph College for a 4:30 p.m. matchup against the Wildcats.
