Resurrection Community Church
“A Time For Greater Things” is the theme as RCC ends its revival tonight at 7. Pastor Anita Owens-Scott will be the speaker.
New Direction Life Ministries
Pastors Michael Scott and Anita Owens-Scott will observe their 23rd pastoral anniversary at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.
The 11 a.m. speaker will be Pastor Dwight McKinney of Greensboro.
The 4 p.m. speaker will be Elder Danny Purcell of SDC, Greensboro.
Harvest Ready Church Consulting, in conjunction with New Directions Life Ministries, presents a one day workshop/seminar for department leaders and staff at 9 a.m. Oct. 27 at 193 College St. in Norwood.
Registration is $25, which includes lunch and materials. Pre-registration is required by Sunday.
Presenters will be Minister Yolanda Ferguson, Elder Ronnie Owens and Anita Owens-Scott.
Meet the Candidate
Rep. Ken Goodman will be at Isiah Westbrook Community Center, 507 Roosevelt St., in Badin on Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Come after church to talk with the Democratic candidate for District 66.
A free hot dog dinner is offered.
St. Luke Church of the Living Word
Bible Study will continue each Wednesday in October at 6 p.m. Conference Call Bible Study will begin in November.
Saint Luke Missionary Department will hold its annual missionary revival at 7 p.m. Nov. 12-14. The speaker will be Elder Terry Lindsey of New Jerusalem and Rose of Sharon.
Pastor Appreciation Month
As you know October has been designated as Pastor Appreciation Month.
Pastors everywhere put in a lot of time and sacrifice for their congregations. I would like to especially say thank you to the pastors in our community.

Shiloh Baptist Church
Shiloh Baptist Church will celebrate its anniversary and Old Fashion Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The speaker of the hour will be Pastor Rodney Eldridge of New Smith Grove Baptist Church.
An old fashioned lunch will be served after morning service. Wear your old fashioned/bib overalls or casual attire.
