Teens Making A Difference
TMAD will honor veterans at 11 a.m. Saturday with a parade beginning on Stuart Street in West Badin.
A short ceremony will be held immediately after the parade on Roosevelt Street. Lunch will be served at the Isaiah Westbrook Community Center. All veterans are invited to participate in this event.
Health
In an attempt to raise awareness among African-Americans about breast cancer and chronic disease prevention through healthy lifestyles, Atrium Health has scheduled an informative event from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday. This event will be at the E.E. Waddell Recreation Center.

New Hope
Bishop Ronald Carpenter and New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will host a Praise, Worship and Deliverance service at 6 p.m. Oct. 13.
The guest will be Apostle Anthony Atkins along with Ministers Desmond and Jousuana Cuthbertson.
Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
Rev. Arnette Wall and the Mt. Zion family invite everyone to a series of events beginning with an outside social gathering on Oct.13 from 5-7 p.m.
Their Old Fashion Day will be Oct. 14. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. Wall. Rev. Marcus Fairley, of St. Luke Baptist Church, will bring the afternoon message at 3 p.m.
Fall revival will run Oct. 16-18 at 7 p.m. Elder J. Michael Scott, of New Direction Life Ministries, will be the guest speaker.
Shiloh Baptist Church
Shiloh Baptist Church will celebrate its anniversary and Old Fashion Day on Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. The speaker of the hour will be Pastor Rodney Eldridge of New Smith Grove Baptist Church.
An old fashioned lunch will be served after morning service. Wear your old fashioned/bib overalls or casual attire.
First Baptist
The Rev. Anthony Neal and Sister Rachel R. Williams invite you to an inspiring change through their Women’s Day Celebration Oct. 14. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. Glencie Rhedrick of First Baptist Church-West.
The 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Shirley McConnell of McDonald Chapel.
St. Luke Church
Bible Study will continue each Wednesday in October at 6 p.m. Conference Call Bible Study will begin in November.
St. Luke’s Annual Missionary Revival will be Nov. 12-14. The speaker for the week will be Elder Terry Lindsey of New Jerusalem and Rose of Sharon. Service will begin at 7 p.m.
