The Charlotte Symphony has just performed to a very appreciative audience, and we simply had to express our joy and gratitude to the Stanly County Arts Council, the sponsors and others who made it possible for so many to hear such a local treasure as the Symphony.

Not all of our citizens were represented in attendance, especially the minorities among us, and we hope that there will be an intentional outreach to include opportunities for all to attend in the future.

The gift of classical music is so very important in these days. It’s incumbent upon those of us who can to help continue making it available to all people, but especially to our youth.

For, like nature and our natural resources, unless one grows to love classical music, one will unlikely grow to nurture and protect it for future generations.
