Albemarle Rotary Club and the Stanly County Family YMCA in Albemarle will begin a campaign today to gather items for people impacted by Hurricane Florence in eastern North Carolina.

YMCA Director George Crooker said a truck will be stationed at the YMCA by this afternoon to store items such as water, canned goods and hygiene products. If the truck is not open, Crooker said to bring items into the Y for storage. He anticipates the first delivery east will happen early next week.
