Palestine UMC to have homecoming Sunday
Published 3:55 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2018
The Aug. 12 worship service at Palestine United Methodist Church was led by Pastor Kevin McCormac. The title of his message was “Before the King” and scripture reading was from Acts 26:1-29.
On Aug. 19, McCormac delivered his message titled “It’s Me Again, God” and used scripture from Luke 19:1-10 and Exodus 22:1-4 and 7.
Homecoming at Palestine will be Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. A covered dish meal will follow in the fellowship hall.
Palestine United Methodist Church will welcome the Rev. Dan Joseph to preach revival services beginning Sunday. Each night of revival will include a special musical performance.
The Peanut Butter and Jelly summer food program has concluded. Please remember the food pantry will need to be replenished as we transition into providing food as needed for families in the church and community.
Please see Robi Cagle or Susie Bowers for more information or to donate food.
IllumiNATIONS East fall event will be Sept. 28-30. Please let Tom Biby or Hillari Thompson know of any members of the community who need work done around their home or if you would like to volunteer to help on a work site.
Volunteers are needed for children’s church for October. See Joyce Hathcock to volunteer.
